Blizzard's Convention Booking Policy
BlizzCon may take place in Anaheim again this year despite earlier speculation that it would be held in Las Vegas. An event booking, shown below, was discovered on the website of the Anaheim Convention Center indicating that BlizzCon will take place on the weekend of October 22-23. BlizzCon has historically been a two day event, held on a Friday and Saturday, so this information is consistent with Blizzard's convention booking policy.Blizzard refuses to confirm or deny the validity of this information, but the convention center has apparently indicated that it is almost a sure thing. Blizzard is urging players not to make travel plans yet, but individuals hoping to attend the convention this year should keep their eyes open for imminent updates. Last year BlizzCon was announced on February 17, but the convention was held on the weekend of August 21st. The announcement may come later this year if the convention is in fact being held in October. Tickets for this year's BlizzCon are expected to be priced in the vicinity of $125USD, as they were for the 2009 convention. Last year's tickets sold out in 30 minutes flat, so players are surely justified in keeping up to date on the developments surrounding this highly anticipated event.
